Quality

Bearing structure in seasoned beechwood. The springing of the seat is entrusted to biconic steel springs tied by hand and resting on jute belts. The padding of the seat is in rubberised horsehair, while the backrest and armrests are in hand-moulded vegetable hair. The cushions are in goose down. The cover boasts capitonnée workmanship done entirely by hand. The back is finished with a row of leather-covered tacks.

Iconic design

Chester refers to the classic model of Edwardian England, taken up by Renzo Frau in Poltrona Frau's first catalog in 1912, inspired by the sofas and armchairs that populated English clubs and country houses in those years. An emblem. A story. This armchair tells it all.
